You're never too old to learn new tricks

My dad is 75 at the time. He happens to be amazing with technology for his age. He switched from Windows to Mac at age 70ish, and managed to learn how to use a Windows Virtual Machine at that time as well. He currently has an iPhone 5 and an iPad 2, knows how to use iCloud, Google Calendar, Text, Email, use Facetime among other things. Most of the stuff he knows, it from figuring it out, as I've offered little help, with the exceptions of the times he really needs it. There are two morals of this story.
  1. You're never too old to learn new tricks, especially as far as basics go. Don't be afraid to play around and explore (for the most part, I don't mean install random programs and viruses, but more don't be afraid to explore the apps currently on your computer, and don't be afraid to Google.)
  2. Just because you don't understand something is no reason to look past it, get mad at it or avoid it. Tech is changing every day. Embrace it and try to understand it. While there are some things you don't need to understand how they work, it's a good idea to learn how to use them, especially if used in your everyday life.
