Technology isn't Perfect

Technology isn't Perfect

Don't get yourself worked up.

Technology being goofy isn't the end of the world. There's always a solution somewhere. Smile and step away for a moment. No use getting emotional, as it doesn't solve anything.

Let me reiterate. Technology isn't perfect.
Though neither are the humans that make it.

Many things can go wrong with technology. It is not flawless. Much of it is working with it and dealing with problems as they come. Ideally, using best practices for what you're using and making sure you're using the equipment that best meets your needs, problems can be minimized.

Don't try to fit a square peg in a round hole.

Some things just don't work together. There are technologies that should be used for one thing but not another.

It worked yesterday. I've been doing this for ages.

This is commonly heard, but doesn't necessarily mean anything. Tech, like our bodies can fail at any point. Alway keep an open mind to new ways to do things if it means less problems.

Don't compare.

Don't try to compare your tech issues with that of others. There are a lot of moving parts, and one tiny thing can make all the difference.

Be Prepared.

Things often go wrong when you need your tech the most. Don't wait until last minute. This goes for everything in life. Prep for your meetings, have a plan in case something doesn't work as expected.

There's a common solution that fits a lot of problems.

You probably know what it is. Restart the program that's having trouble or Reboot the computer. If those don't work, there's likely something else. Reach out, we're happy to find out what it is.

It can be a journey.

Tech problems can take as little as a reboot to fix or a long drawn out couple months for those intermittent ones. There's a lot of steps and ground to cover when there are many moving pieces.
