SOP - Managing Nordpass Passwords

NordPass Login & Password Management Guide

This guide walks you through accessing NordPass, resetting your Account Password, and handling Master Password recovery — both for personal and MSP-managed accounts.

1. Accessing NordPass

  1. Go to nordpass.com or open the NordPass app.
  2. Enter your Account Email (the one registered with NordPass).
  3. Enter your Account Password (used for NordPass login, billing, and subscription).

Forgot your Account Password?

  • Click “Forgot password?” at login.
  • Enter your registered email.
  • Follow the reset instructions sent to your inbox.

2. Unlocking the Password Vault

  • After account login, you’ll be prompted for your Master Password.
  • This unlocks your encrypted password vault and is never shared.

3. Resetting Your Master Password

MSP-Managed Accounts (IT/Tech Support Controlled)

  1. Launch the NordPass app.

  2. At the Master Password prompt, click “Forgot Master Password?”.

  3. When asked, choose “Don’t have a recovery code.”

  4. Set a new Master Password and continue.

    • A reset confirmation code/number will be generated.
    • Do NOT close the app or window until you’ve shared this code.

  5. Notify Tech Support:

    • Email our team
    • Provide the reset confirmation code.

  6. Wait for confirmation from IT. Once approved, your new Master Password will be active.
