Quick Zoom Meetings Walkthrough

Getting Started with Zoom Desktop for Scheduling Meetings

  1. Go to http://zoom.us/download and download Zoom Client for Meetings
  2. Once downloaded, open it.
  3. Create an account and sign in.

Scheduling a Meeting

  1. Open the Zoom Desktop
  2. Click on Schedule
  3. Enter in the info for the Meeting
    1. Title
    2. Time
    3. Duration
    4. Host Video: On
    5. Participant Video: On or Off
    6. Calendar: Other Calendars
    7. Call options: Auto or Phone
  4. Click Schedule
  5. Click Copy Invitation
  6. Go to the corresponding website to open the calendar for your email, or utilize your mail app to add a calendar event for the email you want to use.
    1. Open https://outlook.office.com/calendar for Outlook calendars
    2. Open https://calendar.google.com for Google Calendars.
  7. Click New Event
  8. Fill in Info
    1. Title
    2. Time/Date
    3. Emails of attendees
    4. Paste in the invitation you copied into the description.
  9. Save at the top

Starting a Meeting

  • For spur of the moment
    • On the first option on the left side, click Start Meeting and Toggle the Camera
  • For Scheduled meetings
    • Click My meetings and join the meeting at the specified time
