Holding Hands

Holding Hands

What does this mean? Babying is doing everything for the client/customer rather than directing them how to do it themselves. It goes off the old saying "Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime". Realistically, it's not helpful to anyone. It takes time away from admin personnel to help with trivial issues that people could do themselves, and it encourages repeat issues because people don't know how to not do it, or how to fix it. Rather than the typical, we can do this for you approach on less complicated material, a kb article or instructions should be referenced. Time for some tough love. We'll point you in the correct direction, but ideally in the long run, it's going to be more beneficial for you to figure it out on your own.
